Roughing it a bit and staying at The Lodge ? If you are enjoying the experience, perhaps you’d like to see how it all got started in Hocking County. Robbins Crossing Historical Pioneer Village is located on the campus of Hocking College, on the southeastern side of Nelsonville. The village is open every weekend from Memorial Day through the end of October.
Enjoy walking around the log cabins and barns while costumed interpreters describe what their lives are like during the frontier days of Ohio’s settlement. Watch barrel-making and chipcarving demonstrations at the Cooper Shop. Stop at the General Store to purchase handmade breadboards and pottery.
